Wordless Wednesday – November at the Beach

The Thanksgiving holiday took precedence over a post detailing our second week at Edisto Beach. Thanksgiving with our family was delightful, and there were few details to write about anyway…just fishing, beach walking, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and glorious sunsets. November is a fabulous time for all of the above. I’ll let the pictures take it from here.

    1. Hi,
At the end of the second week, I was so loose you could pour me into a jar! We were about as relaxed as you could get!

    1. Hi, Donna,
As I “reflect” on my retirement (see what I did there), I am so grateful to have the opportunity to spend such a relaxing time in a beautiful place and carry that into time with my family. We’re blessed…and grateful. Thanks for checking in. Joe

  1. Ooooo! Another Lee Child fan! Jack Reacher is my hero! Joe, if Helen’s not already into it, suggest that she try author Nick Petrie’s Peter Ash series. If she likes Reacher, I think she’ll like Peter.

It’s funny, we had never heard of black tipped sharks until we were at Gulf State Park in Alabama this fall and saw them from the fishing pier. And here you are with one! Time at the beach is so restorative, isn’t it?

    1. Good morning, Mary,
We’re both Lee Child fans, and his books are great reads for a beach vacation. I’ll check out the Peter Ash books. Another favorite is the John McDonald – Travis McGee series.

That shark gave me a good fight, and he attracted quite a crowd of folks who had never seen a shark out of the water. I was happy to return him to the sea.
I agree that two weeks at the beach is very healing.

      Have a wonderful weekend. Joe

  2. Joe, so glad that you and Helen had two wonderful weeks at the beach! You both look very relaxed and happy. 🙂 Long walks on the beach are one of my favorite things about living here. And Edisto is still on our list…we’ve only been there once, and just for a quick overnight on our way to somewhere else. Wishing you joyous holidays!

    1. Hello,
We had a great time there and booked another two weeks for next November. The campground in the state park is fantastic, and we recommend it highly. Hope your preparations for the big move are going swimmingly. Please keep us posted. Joe
